Animated winter scenery with women and children standing in groups outside of their caravans and tents. Proost (Sint-Niklaas 1880-1957) was a post-impressionist painter and printmaker. His work mainly depicts life around fairgrounds, circuses, dancers and acrobats, next to landscapes and marine views.
