Nice run of this important political journal edited, and for a large part also compiled, by the former Jesuit F.-X. de Feller (1735-1802) - a continuation of "La clef du cabinet des princes de l'Europe" (1704-1773). Present here: 10 issues of 1787, 2 of 1788, 7 of 1789, 5 of 1790, 7 of 1791, 5 of 1792 and 7 of 1793. The "Journal historique et littéraire" first appeared in Luxemburg from August 1773 until February 1788, and was continued in Maastricht from Febr. 1788 until Dec. 1794, appearing twice a month. The later years openly support the aristocratic and ecclesiastical parties.
