Hand-coloured lithograph, 53 x 69 cm, wove paper 59 x 77 cm (vert. central fold, underlaid tears at margins, min. def. in corners, sl. toned and light foxing).
Large print with a series of scenes depicting events from the Paris Commune (a revolutionary government that seized power in Paris during the Franco-Prussian War). At centre two female figures, one of whom, representing the Paris Commune, lies dead.
