Nautical chart of the Barbary and Guinea coasts, incl. a sm. part of the coastline of Portugal and Spain, with the Azores, Madeira, Canary, and Cape Verde Islands. The Azores are still named 'De Vlaamsche Eylanden', because of the large settlement from the Burgundian Netherlands, esp. after the revolt against the rule of Philip the Good at the end of the 15th c. Embellished with vivid scenes of sailing ships.
