Mod. vellum, gilt black leather title-label on spine, all edges marbled (sl. soiled).
First edition of this account of a journey in Languedoc, which was reprinted many times, followed by several - and somewhat curious and rarer - playful texts in poetry and prose: e.g. "Le réformateur à la mode", "Le petit mary", "Sur deux filles couchées ensemble", "Centuries de Nostradamus". Printer's mark on title.
