Contemp. red morocco (sl. rubbed towards edges), covers with orn. gilt-ruled and -rolled frame and large floral corner pieces, richly gilt-orn. and titled spine with 5 raised bands (discoloured, joints sl. rubbed), gilt sides, decorative endpapers, a.e.g. (flyleaves gone). Good copy in a luxury binding.

Very rare posthumous first edition of the sermons of priest A. De Cock (1674-1742). Ill. with engr. arms of dedicatee A. Claesman, baron of Male and alderman and mayor of the franc of Bruges (1717-1750).
