Beschrijving lot
Hand-coloured mezzotint, 42,0 x 32,1 cm, wove paper, address at bottom right: "Ioh. Iac. Haid excud. Aug. Vind.", title and text in both Latin and German in lower margin (few sm. spots at bottom).
Under passe-partout and frame (not studied outside frame). Wide margins.
A woman beats a man in fencing. The text states that he who forgets his social rank will make a fool of himself. The scene is inspired by Molière's comedy ballet "Le bourgeois gentilhomme".
