Sm. 4to: lx ff. (title sl. soiled, dampstain in blank fore-edge margin).
Old vellum, flat spine titled in ink (sl. soiled). Good copy.
Very rare Bruges postincunable with ten essays on the early history of Flanders by the historian, poet and humanist Jacob de Meyere (Vleteren 1491-1552 Bruges), followed by a Latin poem. An 8vo ed. was publ. the same year by Vorsterman in Antwerp. Title within armorial woodcut border with nine coats of arms: Austria, Flanders and its cities (with their names added in ms.). Full-page woodcut on last page: guarding lion holding the flag of Austria, surrounded by the same arms.
