Contemp. aubergine shagreen, large border in relief ruled with gilt fillets, groups of cabochons at the corners and in the middle of the sides, upper board decorated with a large central shield in relief ruled with gilt fillets and bearing an ex-dono in gilt letters, lower board decorated with a set of gilt small tools, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, ivory moiré paper doublures framed by a gilt roll, endpapers of same paper, a.e.g. (corners rubbed, some sl. white shadows, endpapers sl. soiled).

Illustrated with nice 19 fold. lithographies after drawings by Victor Vervloet, enhanced with watercolour and gold, figuring Our Lady of Hanswijk, the 8 chariots and the parade following on, the giants... Title printed in four colours, text printed in a blue lithographed frame.
