"Le bon jardinier" was an encyclopedia on gardening published in the form of an almanac, here for the year 1789. It was started in 1755 by Pons-Augustin Alletz who published it until 1781. The economist and agronomist Th.-Fr. de Grace continued until 1796, then it was taken over by Mordant-Delaunay. Containing precepts of the work to be done in gardens, history and particular culture of vegetable plants, a vocabulary of botanical explanatory terms etc.
