17th-c. calf, blind-st. and roll-st. covers, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, red edges (rubbed, head missing, tail with sm. def.).

Rare Lyon ed. of the missal in use of Lausanne printed at the request of the Bishop of Lausanne Sébastien de Montfalcon (1489-1560) and his chapter and sold by Pomard at his Geneva bookshop. It's the last edition of a Lausanne missal before the city became a Protestant republic under the domination of Bern (1536). Ill. with numerous full-page and in text woodcuts. Printed in red and black in 2 col. with Gothic types. Enriched with a 17th-c. Latin ms. mass of 2 ff. (with some ff. missing?).
