3 vol. Text: 2 vol., 12mo: [4]-iv-480, [4]-432-[1] pp. (sm. stain to lower margin in begin. of vol. I). Atlas, 4to; 39 pl. (lower corner to f. [2] repaired, sl. marg. stain and a large at the end, occ. foxing, soiling to last pl.).
Contemp. tree sheep (Atlas: half sheep, marbled paper covers), gilt orn. flat spines, red spr. edges (vol. I of text very def., rubbed, joints of vol. I of text and Atlas splitting or split, leather unstuck to Atlas spine, damp stain to Atlas front cover).
Second edition of the text (1st: 1824), 1st ed. of the Atlas of a work dealing with woodturning. Atlas contains 39 plates fig. tools and instruments, of wich 2 hand-coloured (species of wood) and 4 on double-page. By Paulin-Désormeaux (1785-1859), Professor of mechanics. Catalogue of Audot for June 1824, bound at the end of vol. II of text.
