Rare edition of Boiardo's famous chivalric poem (1st complete ed.: 1495), edited by Lodovico Domenichi. Illustrated with Boiardo's portrait on title, 69 woodcuts in-text and many initial letters, of which 62 fig. cities (incl. repeats). Text in 2 col. The poet Boiardo (1440-1494) was at the service of the Dukes of Ferrara. However Comin da Trino was one of the most active printers in 16th-c. Venice, nothing is known for sure about his life. Some say he was the cousin of Gabriele Giolito de Ferrari but there is no proof to affirm this.
