Third edition (1st 1681) of a founding text for diplomatics and paleography by the French Benedictine historian Mabillon (1632-1700), edited by Giovanni Adimari. Illustrated with copper-engravings: frontispiece, 69 full-pages (of which 25 on double page or fold.), 6 historiated headpieces and 6 tailpieces, some ill. in-text and 2 identical title-vign. showing Naples.
