Edition ill. with an engr. armorial title-vignette and woodcut head- and tailpieces. Since 1519, the future Roman-German Emperor was presented with an electoral capitulation ("capitulatio caesarea") by the electoral body, which limited and specified his powers.
Prov. Henri Reinecke, Count of Calenberg (1685-1772), privy councillor and chamberlain to the Elector of Saxony, minister plenipotentiary at the Imperial Court.
