Rare first edition of this work on Belgian agriculture, by the German agriculturist J.N.H. von Schwerz (1759-1844), the result of many travels in the region. Ill. with 12 (7, 5) engr. folding plates showing plows and other tools, ways to plow & sow, and constructions. Vol. I dedicated to Countess Marie Anne de Renesse (Liège 1779-1851 Eijsden), who appointed Schwerz as manager of the count's agricultural estate, after the death of her husband Count Maximilien Henri de Liedekerke-Surlet (1774-1801 Liège). Printed in Gothic. A third vol. was published a few years later, in 1811.
