Contemp. calf, floral central orn. ruled with a gilt fillet, spine with raised bands (spine and corners repaired, sm. defects on spine).

Rare Geneva ed. printed anonymously for A. Gryphius (1527?-1599), illigimate son of the famous S. Gryphius. This book was printed with head pieces and initials used by Berjon and Chouet in Geneva (GLN). With the famous Gryphius' Griffin device on title with the motto "Virtute duce, Comite fortuna".
