Important pharmacopoeia for the young United Kingdom of the Netherlands, based on the first national Dutch pharmacopoeia from the time of the Batavian Republic. The Pharmacopoeia Belgica, introduced on July 12, 1821 (Staatsblad 1821, no. 7), was derived from the Pharmacopoeia Batava (1805) - the first "national" pharmacopoeia. The Pharmacopoeia Belgica of 1823 applied to the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. After the secession of Belgium, this publication formed the basis for the Pharmacopea Neerlandica of 1851 and the Pharmacopoeia Belgica Nova of 1854. With one full-page engr. of a "hygrometra". At the end: "Besluit van den 28 April [en van 12 Julij] 1821, houdende verordeningen omtrent de invoering der Pharmacopoea Belgica", in 2 col. in Dutch and French.
