Beschrijving lot
Drawing, pencil, 36,5 x 19 cm, thick wove paper, pencil signed (possibly apocryphal) in the lower left corner (sl. foxed mainly along top margin).
A nice anatomical study of a naked man seen from the back. Gugel (Bad Bergzabern 1820-1885) was a German portrait and nude painter. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and exhibited his works on several occasions in the "Münchner Glaspalast". His works are in the collections of the Neue Pinakothek in Munich.
