Journey by boat from the Belgian North Sea to the Belgian colony in Central Africa via the Canary Islands, Sierra Leone and Senegal. Showing the mission of Mill Hill and Bumba, the arrival of steamers, the Congo River, dwellings, a termite mound, a market, law enforcement, a vegetable garden, the construction of a hangar, boys in Sunday dress, indigenous dancing ("bangala", "libinza", "balobos"), people of different ethnicities, their clothes and dwellings. One loose photograph with a man dressed in white uniform with pith helmet.
