4to: 308 (= 304)-[4] ff. (marginally sl. soiled and spotted, blank pc. of title and blank bottom margin of 2nd & last f. cut out and underlaid).
16th-c. blind-tooled calf over wood, covers with blind ornamental border and central blind ruled frames with leaves (front) or a cross (lower cover), spine on 3 raised bands with similar cross pattern in compartments, metal catches, vellum endpapers from a 15th-c. rubricated Latin legal manuscript in 2 cols (sl. loosening, rubbed, sm. defects at head, tail and lower cover, some old repairs, clasps gone). Good copy.
Second Soardi ed. (1st 1496 - ISTC iv00373000) of an extensive commentary on the standard medieval textbook of theology (1st publ. Lyon 1489). Guillaume de Vaurouillon or de Valle Rouillonis (1390-1464) was a French Franciscan theology professor in Lyon. Woodcut mark of Soardi at the end. Printed in gothic type, in 2 cols. Ref.
