Folio, printed with ms. additions, in French, signed "le comte Charles de Proli", Guillaume Bolts" and 2 others.
Rare shares of 1000 florins of Germany issued in the name of "Madame la veuve Louis de Wulf née de Potter", issued by the Imperial Company of Asia and Africa. Also called Company of Trieste, it was founded in 1781 and directed by Charles de Proli (1723-1786), son of Pietro Proli, an Antwerp businessman of Italian origin and founder of an illustrious family of bankers, merchants and high officials under the Austrian regime. The company collapsed and failed spectacularly in 1785.
