Typescript in French of the detailed technical description (speed and calculation of the speed, construction costs, power of the helices, etc.) of an airship conceived by the engineer Boerner. "Construit comme un autopropulseur" for 200 or 300 passengers, Boerner details the civil (passenger transport and postal service) and military purpose (terrestrial and aerial destructions, spying, attacks, troop and ammunition transports, etc.) and also considers the business case of his airship with a paying tourism plan ("on pourrait y installer trois corps de musique, des cinémas pour reproductions aéronautiques, des démonstrations mécaniques de vol de ballons libres et d'aéroplanes [...]"). He offers operating lines from Brussels (transatlantic), Paris (id.), London, Berlin, Vienna (with a stop in Ostende), St-Petersburg (the longest European line with stops at Warsaw, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London, Ostende, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Stockholm, i.e. 6332 km in 55 hours, for a price of 949.80 fr. by person). With at the end laudatory comments, a.o. of the chemist Raoul Pictet (1846-1926) who believed in the "valeur civilisatrice" of Boerner's airship ("[...] cette locomotion nouvelle amènera, nous l'espérons, et imposera même la paix universelle sur la terre"). The author's conclusion: "Je suis convaincu que d'ici quelques années on créera des croiseurs aériens capables de faire 200-250 km. à l'heure; l'avenir seul dira si ce succès doit être réalisé par mon système ou par un autre".
