Old gilt red morocco, covers with ruled border, spine with 5 raised bands and label, a.e.g., gilt inside border, marbled endpapers, green marker (sl. rubbed).
Very rare calvinist treatise on theological discussions debated at the Council of Ephesus and in 17th-c. controversies, defending the views of Nestorius against Cyril of Alexandria. It is sometimes attributed to the preacher Jean Bruguier (1618-1684) or to the philosopher David Derodon (1600-1664). The work was condemned to be burnt by the Parliament of Toulouse.
