4to: [1]-CXLV [= 145]-[7] ff. (single wormholes in 1st half, larger wormtrack in quires a-c touching a few letters).
Later blind-decorated leather over wood, edges bevelled inside, covers with blind-ruled frames and blind-stamped central ornament and corner pieces in central frame, spine with 4 raised bands and gilt title label, red edges, metal clasp on leather tongues, pin fastening, mod. marbled endpapers (expertly repaired, sl. rubbed at corners, head and tail, front flyleaf gone). Good copy.
Early ed. of a popular treatise by the Catalan Dominican canon lawyer (St.) Raymond of Penyafort (ca. 1175-1275). It deals with serious standard cases brought to the confessor such as fortune telling, simony, fraud, usury, robbery and the like.
