First part only of this botanical journal edited by the prolific publisher on botany, palaeontology and other fields Ch. Morren (1807-1855). Illustrated with 34 full-page hand-coloured engr. pl. and 10 full-page b/w engr. pl. Morren was director of the Botanical Gardens in Liège, but is especially remembered for his discovery on how to fertilize exported vanilla plants. A complete set nowadays is rare to find.
