Drawing, pen and brown ink, 18,5 x 29,5 cm, laid paper with watermark (Amsterdam coat of arms), unsigned.
Under passe-partout.
A series of nine battle axes and five headgears. They are probably copied from de Lairesse's Groot Schilderboeck (1707), as examples of ancient armour and exotic fashions to inspire students in the art of drawing and painting.
Prov. Charles Vilain VIIII, viscount (stamp on passe-partout, not in Lugt).
