Sm. folio: [14]-CI [= 101 (of 118)] ff. (f. CII missing, added in photography, and pt. II = 16 ff. missing; cut short, inner margin dampstained).

16th-c. blind-stamped calf, gilt-titled spine with 5 raised bands, red edges (skilfully rebacked).

Extensive commentary on the Gospel of Matthew by the Scottish theologian and Paris professor John Major (1467-1550). Title in red and black, text in Gothic type (2 col.). The 2nd part announced on the titlepage not present.
