2 (of 3) parts in 1 vol., folio: [36, engr. title incl.]-707-[116] pp. (wormtrack in inner margin in begin., sl. damp stains to upper margins, occ. foxing).

Contemp. blind stamped calf over wood, covers ruled and orn. with roll-stamps, spine blind ruled with raised bands, brass catches & clasps (rubbed, lack to spine upper part, tail def.).

Parts I & II of this extensive history of Brabant (615-1623), with special attention to the recent period of the Dutch Revolt, by Haraeus (1550-1632), professor of rhetoric in Douai, later canon at Leuven. Illustrated with an engr. title by C. Galle after Rubens and 43 fine full-page portraits of i.a. Dukes of Brabant, Princes of Netherlands, and Albert & Isabella. At end of each vol. woodcut printer's marks.
