8vo: [20]-446 ff. (slightly soiled, wormhole in the margins of 1st pp., dampstains).
Cont. blind-stamped calf, covers decorated with tools in the center ruled with a large rollstamp (with portraits) and fillets, spine on raised bands (upper joint split, part of lower turn-in and the upper one entirely lacking, partly rubbed, corners bumped, ms. entry on lower pastedown crossed out).
New edition of the translation by de Seyssel (d. 1520), Savoyard jurist and humanist, first published in Lyon in 1544. Ref. Pettegree (FB) 1526. - STC French p. 21. - Not in Adams. Estienne, 1593 or 1594?]. 8vo (lacking several pp., foxing, wormhole in the margin of first ff., tiny wor mholes in the margins, hole in the last f.), 18th-c. calf, gilt boards and spine on raised bands with a semé of fleur-de-lis framed, a.e.g. Greek text facing the Latin translation.
