4 parts in 3 vol., 4to: [12]-358-[8-2 bl.], [6]-369-[6-3 bl.], [4]-202-[10], 47-[5] pp. (ff. Ss1 in vol. I and M4 & Cc4 in vol. III, probl. blank, missing, somewhat spotting & upper margin of vol. II dampstaining).

Contemp. half calf, gilt orn. spines with 5 raised bands, black leather title labels (sl. rubbed, corners bumped). Good set.

First edition by the Dutch public servant D. Smits (1702-1752). The 4th part is a biography of the author by N. Versteeg. Engr. ill.: 3 title-vign. by J. Punt (1737) and author's portrait by P. Tanjé (1752). Numerous woodcut endpieces.
