1st French Janssonius edition (1st Latin Janssonius ed.: 1628, 1st Hondius ed.: 1607) with 142 maps from the set of copperplates newly engraved by Pieter van de Keere and Abraham Goos. J. Hondius made this reduced version of Mercator's Atlas Maior for younger people "les parents desquels estants trop chiches, n'ont la bourse assez garnie".
