Beschrijving lot
Drawing, pen and black ink, over black chalk, 12,4 x 15,1 cm, laid paper, signed in the right edge "Giacomo A." (some brown stains, sm. tear at upper left, hinged on backing paper at left edge).
Dynamic drawing depicting a woman being served an object by a servant. Her right arm grabs a vase. On the verso side a variation of the same scene but with the composition slightly altered. Most liklely study for a larger painting.
Joined, 3 anonymous drawings: 1. Lot and his daughters. Italian, 18th c. Pen and brown ink, 17 x 21 cm, laid paper, unsigned. The same scene is mirrored on verso side by other hand. Prov. Count Jan Pieter van Suchtelen, 1751-1836 (stamp on verso, Lugt 2332).-- 2. Antique scene. Pen and brown ink, grey wash, 16,5 x 22,5 cm, laid paper, unsigned.-- 3. The Four Cardinal Virtues. French or Flemish school, late 17th c. Pen and brown ink, 21,4 x 16,2 cm, laid paper, unsigned. (4 pcs)
