19th-c. gilt half calf, marbled paper on covers, gilt spine with 5 raised bands with morocco label, a.e.g., marbled endpapers. Good copy.

2nd ed. (1st 1613) of a richly illustrated promotional vol. in honour of Leiden and its University, compiled by history professor J. Meursius (1579-1639). Issue with the dedication to the university curators. Engr. arms on title, large fold. engr. (inaugural entry), and 57 engr.: 3 half-page pl.
