First edition of this history of Lille, its environs and notable families, by the historian Floris Vander Haer (Leuven 1547-1634 Lille), attached to St. Gertrude's Abbey in Leuven and later to St Peter's Church in Lille (demolished in 1794). 6 printed folding genealogical tables (Artois, Lille, Thomas, Luxembourg, Ligny, Bourbon; sl. browned, sm. tear in pl. 1 & 5). "Le premier livre connu imprimé par Christophe Beys" (Houdoy). Beys was the grandson of Chr. Plantin.
