Folio: [6]-191 [= 198] ff. (sl. browning, a few stains).
Contemp. calf, covers with a gilt central orn. within a blindst. double fillet and gilt orn. corners, spine with 6 raised bands (rubbed with scratches, corners blunt, spine clumsily "repaired"). Good inside copy.
Second Colines edition, based on that of 1526 (after H. Estienne's ed. of 1506 & 1510) of Jacques Lefèvre d'Étaples' influential commentary on Politics and Economics, with Leonardo Bruni's translations. The "Hecatonomia" is an original treatise by Lefèvre, consisting of a collection of 700 political propositions based on Plato's Republic and Laws, in which the author develops a system of political ethics (Schreiber). Title within the famous "Aristoteles" border, showing Aristotle, Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, Cicero, and Seneca.
