Rare first edition of the first two instalments (of eight, publ. 1791-1794) of this famous Dutch periodical on fashion and costumes, but also on furniture, interior decorating, theatre, gardening and poetry. Ill. with 10 (of 15: lacking pls I, V-VI, XI-XII; embroidery pattern present) and 13 (of 15: lacking pls XXIII-XXIV; musical notation of Russian dance present) hand-coloured engraved plates, after the pls from the Paris fashion periodical "Journal des dames et des modes", combined with typical Dutch costumes.
