Rare early printing (1st ed.: 1533) of Erasmus’ final plea for the unity of the Church. With letters to and from Julius Pflug (Allen 2852 and 2806), and John Rinck (Allen 2618). "De puritate tabernaculi" was one of Erasmus’ last writings (1st publ. 1536). Woodcut mark on title. Printed in italics. The "Sarcienda" was prohibited by the 1549 Sorbonne Index. Our copy bears on title the inscription "Prohibitus".
