Approval of the foundation of a chapel in the Church of Balegem.

1 f. (43 x 47 cm), on vellum, in French (seals missing, some stains).

The foundation was made at the request of Robert's secretary Gilles de Heesseghem called de Bracht, in memory of his father. The Duke of Bar inherited lands in Flanders from his mother Yolande of Flanders (1326-1395), daughter of Robert of Cassel (1278-1331), Lord of Cassel, Dunkirk, Gravelines, Bourbourg, Bergues and Nieuwpoort. This charter was sold in 1867 at Callion's auction.
