4 drawings, pen and brown ink, traces of graphite, oval 12 x 10 cm, vellum, unsigned (some sm. creases).
In small oval frames.
Oval drawings of peasants in the manner of Teniers and Van Ostade. The drawings on vellum are executed as "penwerck" or "kunstferstücke", a popular genre among Netherlandish collectors which imitated the technique and looks of engravings. Antwerp artists such as Antoine Overlaet (1720-1774) specialised in the genre.
