Engraving, 36,5 x 52 cm, laid paper with watermark, signed at lower right corner "aNT. LAFRERI SEQUANI.FROMIS" (heavily damaged, trimmed to plate border, large vertical central fold, edges frayed, sm. tears along edges, damp stains, brown stains at centre).

Impressive engraving depicting the Dioscuri, which were formerly attributed to Pheidias and Praxiteles at the Quirinal in Rome. Second state by Lafreri, after reverse by Antonio Salamanca. One of the earliest prints published by Lafreri for the "Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae" collection, which also included a print depicting the same statues from the rear.
