Extremely rare commemorative print on the founding of the Angelic Warfare Confraternity (also called the Guild of the Cord of St Thomas Aquinas) in 1649 by the Dominican Franciscus Deurwaarders. With 4 col. of engr. text with the 10 laws of the order, 2 angels girding Aquinas with the girdle of chastity (the central relic of the Order) above, and a monk distributing knotted prayer cords below. Inscription content: lettered extensively within impression with propositions to be defended in the thesis. Dedicated to the Leuven theology professors, 7 March 1649.
