First edition of the translation by the philologist Nicolas Perrot d'Ablancourt (1606-1664). His translations are part of the many qualified as "les belles infidèles" as they were adapted to correspond to the morals and taste of their time. Neat typography with large printer's mark on title-pages, text decorated with ornamented head- and tailpieces and with some initials.
