Contemp. vellum, covers decorated with central coat of arms and four smaller in corners, and ruled with two roll-stamps, gilt orn. spine (central coat of arms) with raised bands, sprinkled edges.

First edition translated from the Greek and edited (with extended notes) by the philologist Servaes Galle (1627-1709) of the Sibylline Oracles, collection of oracular prophecies in which Jewish and Christian doctrines are confirmed by a sibyl. With in the second part the "Oracula metrica Jovis, Apollonis, Hecates, Serapidis, et aliorum deorum ac vatum tam virorum quam foeminarum" ed. by Johannes Opsopeus; the "Oneirocriticon" or "Somniorum interpretatio" of Astrampsychus ed. by Joseph Scaliger; and the "Oracula magica Zoroastris [...]" or the Chaldean Oracles by Julian the Theurgist ed. by Opsopeus.
