Beschrijving lot
Engraving, 35 x 30 cm, laid paper, signed in the plate at lower margin "V. Lefebre del. et sculp." (small tear near top edge between the angel's wings, horizontal fold/crease across middle, repaired tear at bottom-right corner, several pin-holes).
Abraham, holding a sword, is in the centre standing on a rock. Next to him, Isaac is kneeling on a pyre. At top right, an angel is holding the sword. Head of a donkey at lower left and head of a sheep at lower right. After Titian's ceiling painting, originally at Santo Spirito in Isola, later moved to Sta Maria della Salute in Venice, published posthumously by Jacobus van Campen in 1682 in Venice.
