Scriverius (1576-1660), a central figure in Dutch literary life of the 1st half of the 17th c., including numerous verses on contemporaries, but also on Erasmus and Janus Secundus, as well on his favourite hero Laurens Coster, whom he vigorously considered to be the inventor of printing.
