Nice collection of lithographs, mostly comical scenes with children. Heinrich Zille (1858-1929), known as the "gutter artist from Berlin", was the artist and illustrator who best portrayed the everyday life of ordinary Berliners between the 1890s and 1920s. His caricatures which are today highly appreciated as historical, cultural and social documents of the Weimar years show the citizens of the surging metropolis at their most popular, local and typical. The lithos in this lot include "Zirkusspiel im Hinterhof" (1924), "Eine kleine Freundin" (1924), "Stillende Mutter" (1924), "Sitzender Mädchenakt" (1924), "Kinder beim Kreisspiel" (1924), "Vor dem Milchladen" (1924).
