Magnificent collection edited by Dewasme, complete with the full 12 instalments, each one containing 1 f. of text and 8 plates, totalling 96 lithographed views after drawings from J.-B. Jonghe, L. Haghe, Hallart, Vermote, A. de La Barrière, etc. They show rustic landscapes, ruins (lighthouse of Nieuwpoort, church of Dudzele), castles (Beersel, Moen (Zwevegem), Chokier (Flémalle), Gaesbeek, Lichtenberg (Maastricht), Rumbeke (Roeselare), Luxembourg, Vianden, Bouillon, Mirwart, Langely, Iseghem, Ooidonk (Deinze), etc.) or monuments (churches, belfries, etc.) of the principal cities of Belgium (Ghent, Antwerp, Bruges, Ypres, Leuven, Kortrijk, Mons, Tournai, Liège, Brussels) but also smaller, more unknown villages like Meulebeke, Westrozebeke (Staden), Wervik, Antoing, Biez, Calevoet (Uccle), etc. Descriptions of the pl. on the text ff. in French and Dutch (except 1st instalm: only French).
