Each model or icon (i.a. Abundance and Scarcity, Adultery and Conjugal Faith, Charity, Eloquence and Stupidity, Philosophy) is accompanied by parallel text in Italian and French. Pistrucci estimated, as he pointed out in his introduction, that the coloration is a significant component of his work, as his descriptions often refer to a specific colour associated with each icon.
