Revised ed. of the famous Tacitus by Justus Lipsius, which contains "Annales", "Historiae", "Germania", "Agricola" and "Dialogus Quinctiliani". After the text, as announced on title, come 2 comments with distinct title page and pagination. The book was printed in Leiden, in the "Officina Plantiniana apud Franciscum Raphelenghium", but some copies, as ours, received a title page with Plantin's Antwerp address. The genealogical table of the first Roman emperors (Stemma augustae domus) is misbound in the 3rd part. This ed., the 5th signed by Lipsius, is a reprint of 1588-ed. with slight changes.
